Jamie Kubic, LVTTechnician ManagerLicensed Veterinary Technician
Jamie began working at Apple Country as a licensed veterinary technician in July of 2010. She graduated from the Alfred State College Veterinary Technician program in 2007. Jamie’s veterinary interests include dentistry and laser therapy. In her free time she enjoys crafting, being outdoors and reading. She lives with her husband and son in Rochester. They have a boxer mix named Annie, boston terrier named Zeppelin and two cats, Fisher and Grizzly
Tammy Haffen, LVTLicensed Veterinary Technician
Tammy graduated from Greece Olympia High School in 1997. She attended MCC for 1 year then transferred to Medaille College in Buffalo, New York. Tammy graduated with an Associate Degree in Science and became licensed as a veterinary technician in 2000.
Tammy started working at Apple Country Veterinary Hospital in 2009. Her professional interests include phlebotomy, anesthesia, and dentistry. She is passionate about caring for our patients and working with their families.
Outside of work she enjoys camping, traveling and spending time with her family. She is a big Disney fan and enjoys cruises.
Tammy lives with her husband and her 3 boys. They have 1 cat named Black Jack and a pit bull mix named Riley.
Stephanie DiPonzio, LVTLicensed Veterinary Technician
Stephanie graduated from Greece Odyssey High School. She attended William Smith College and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Biology. She continued her education at SUNY Delhi, graduating with her Associate Degree in Veterinary Science & Technology in 2015. She began working at Apple Country Veterinary Hospital and Erie Canal Animal Hospital later that year.
Stephanie enjoys helping to educate pet owners to help them provide the best possible care for their pets. She also likes to be involved in community outreach including rabies clinics and open houses that the hospitals provide.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and Australian Shepherd mix Jake. She also enjoys various artistic activities including painting, coloring, knitting, and sewing. She often partakes in these activities surrounded by several of her other pets, which include five cats (Rosie, Attica, Jax, Leia, Velvet), three rats (Bernie, Bennie, Missy), and two guinea pigs (Pumba, Zazu).
Irene Youngman, LVTLicensed Veterinary Technician
Irene graduated from Franklinville High School and Ellicottville BOCES with a focus in Animal Science. She then attended Genesee Community College where she was awarded an Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology in 2016. She is also a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA).
Prior to working at ACVH/ECAH, Irene worked as a Veterinary Assistant at another small animal veterinary clinic. After finishing her internship with us, she began working at ACVH/ECAH in March 2016. Her professional interests include anesthesia, laboratory diagnostics, venipuncture and canine behavior.
Outside of work she enjoys playing video games, crocheting, camping, walking her dogs and being outdoors. She lives in Albion with her significant other, Henry. At home, Irene currently has a very sweet Chocolate Lab named Leona and a very energetic German shepherd named Greta.
Hannah Cliff, LVTLicensed Veterinary Technician
Hannah graduated from Hilton High School in 2013. Hannah attended Genesee Community College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in May 2017. Hannah took the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam) in August of 2017 and is licensed to practice as a veterinary technician in the state of New York. She began working at both Apple Country Veterinary Hospital and Erie Canal Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant in October 2015, and now works as an LVT. Her professional interests include surgery and providing client education. Outside of work, Hannah is an active member of Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions, a local rescue in the greater Rochester area. She currently lives in Brockport with her cats, Dora and Gopher.
Katie SchmeerVeterinary Technician Student
Katie began working as a kennel and veterinary assistant at Apple Country in February of 2012. Katie also works at our offices as a receptionist and is training to become a veterinary technician. She is currently pursuing her degree in veterinary technology at San Juan College. Her veterinary interests include; surgical nursing and alternative therapies. In her free time she enjoys baking, snowmobiling and doing home improvement projects with her boyfriend on their new home. Katie has 2 rescued German shorthair pointers named Lucy and Scarlet, and a rabbit named Chattahoochee who was her companion pet while she was away at college.
Alexis Bradshaw, LVTLicensed Veterinary Technician
Alexis graduated from Brighton High School. She attended Alfred State College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2017. Alexis started working at Erie Canal Animal Hospital and Apple Country Veterinary Hospital later that year. Her veterinary interests include working with exotics and learning about animal behavior. Outside of work, she enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles, playing softball and walking her dogs on the Canal. She has a pitbull mix named Princess and a German short haired pointer mix named Tyson.
Amanda Heale, LVTLicensed Veterinary Technician
Amanda graduated from a private school in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2008. She went on to attend Genesee Community College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2015.
In 2016 she was accepted to a yearlong internship at the University of Tennessee at their large animal hospital, where she also got experience in small animal ophthalmology and exotics.
Amanda moved back to New York in July of 2017 and worked at a mix practice for 2 years doing small animal work and helping large animal vets with embryo transfers.
Amanda started working at Apple Country Veterinary Hospital and Erie Canal Animal Hospital in October of 2018.
Her professional interests include laser therapy and Fear Free handling. She is looking forward to building great and lasting relationships with all our clients and patients.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and going on hikes with her Australian Shepherd, Beau.
